On the 17th June 1998 SUMMERTIME DANCING was founded by Richard Purcell and Joyce Hutchins.

The Old Time Dance Club started on Wednesday evenings but now currently runs on Monday afternoons throughout the year. In addition, from the middle of May to early September, the Summertime Golden Oldies Sequence and Old Time Dance Club is run playing a mixture of Traditional Old Time, Classical Old Time and Older Modern Sequence. Dances for both Clubs are run throughout the year in the Normandy Village Hall (GU3 2DD) supported by regular Dancing Holidays in Bournemouth.

The Hall is a modern building with ample parking and a large suspended wood floor (which is kind to the knees and hips) in the main hall where the Summertime Clubs’ Balls and Dances are held.
